Was ist Biztalk Server ?

Der BizTalk Server wurde von Microsoft als "data and business integration server" positioniert. Es wird durch das Serversystem besonders die Applikationsmodelle Supply Chain Management (SCM) Integration und Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) unterstützt. Dies wird auch anhand der Biz-Talk Server Architektur deutlich, welche modularisiert in Schichten aufgebaut ist und mehrere Schnittstellen und Kon-zepte zur Konnektivität und Integration bereitstellt. Zudem hat sich Microsoft des Themas "WebServices" in Form eines integrierten Toolkits, in der aktuellen Version des BizTalk Servers angenommen und für Entwickler wurde ein BizTalk Server .NET Toolkit bereitgestellt.

Als Vertreter eines BizTalk Framework Compliant Servers (siehe http://www.biztalk.org) unterstützt das Produkt das BizTalk Framework Version 2.0 und stellt zusätzliche Funkti-onalitäten und Tools zum Betriebs-, Dokumenten und Workflow-Management.
